This song is called “Boxcar”…but may I point out that there is also a cover of Freight Train by Elizabeth Cotton on this record! !! !!

I was introduced to David Dondero in 2004 at a small show he played in northern Alabama. The show was at a gallery that no longer exists in the building next door to where Billy Reid now has his headquarters in Florence. We bought a copy of every album he had left at the show and they became our theme music for the next year. I remember standing outside after the show with David making sure he had a place to stay for the night. I was with Niles and my step-father. I have not seen him play since…perhaps this year, once I settle back in the US I can track him down again.
